Vacancy on Committee – Membership Secretary

After 10 wonderful years in the role of Membership Secretary, Helen Morrow is leaving us to pursue other things.  The Cranbourne Friends are currently looking for someone to step into the role.

The Membership Secretary works under the Secretary and also works closely with the Treasurer.   The time commitment each week is approximately 1 to 2 hours per week and up to 6 hours at the start of the financial year. Members are contact by mail, email and telephone, so this role would suit someone who can work from home.

It is preferable but not essential for the Membership Secretary to attend the Cranbourne Friends Committee meetings on the 2nd Thursday each month at 6pm. The Membership Secretary compiles a monthly membership report documenting the status of memberships which is submitted to the Cranbourne Friends Committee before each meeting.

Helen Morrow has kindly agreed to assist the incoming person until the system is running smoothly and give ongoing support if required. Helen would also be willing to take over the duties during periods of extended absence, e.g. holidays, travel etc. Ideally the new Membership Secretary would begin November 2017.

You will need to have experience working with Excel and a knowledge of databases.

If you are interested in taking up this role and working closely with the Friends group please contact Helen Kennedy, Secretary at secretary@rbgfriendscranbourne.org.au before Thursday October 5, 2017.
