Melon Basket Workshop – using native materials

The Melon Basket is a favourite of Basketmakers and is sometimes called a Frame Basket.  This is one of the first techniques that Basketmakers usually learn and covers some of the basics of Basketry.  Harvesting and preparation of materials will be discussed and we will learn some of the Basketry terms often used by Basketmakers.

When: Sunday 22 April from 10am to 4pm

Tutor : Lynn Lochrie
Cost :  $65 non member, $60 member, (Limit of ten participants.)
BYO :  lunch, notepad and pen, secateurs, and a old towel or apron to protect your clothes. Tea and coffee, and all materials are provided.
