On Monday 13 May, 2019, join John Arnott for a stroll which will give you an update on future developments. The tour commences at 9.30am.
This ‘Walk and Gawk” in the Cranbourne Gardens follows a similar event held last year, where John, who is the Garden’s Horticulture Manager, gave us an insight into the Master Plan and what would occur over the coming years.
Some of these plans are already being put into place. John will update us on new plantings that are taking place in the Australian Garden, any changes to curatorial management plans, and updates on some of the design/development processes in the Ian Potter lakeside precinct, Stringybark Garden and the Arid Garden.
John will also outline a RBGV initiative to support Regional Botanic Gardens across Victoria in establishing collections of regionally significant rare and threat plant species. This initiative is called Care for the Rare.
Following this informative session with John, relax in the Garden café for lunch and chat about the continuing developments at our favourite garden- RBGV- Cranbourne Gardens.
