Summer wildflowers at Mt Hotham

Thursday, January 12 - Monday, January 16

Alpine Shaggy-pea (Podolobium alpestre)

The Cranbourne Friends have organised a visit to the Mt Hotham region and there is room for people from other similar organisations to join us for the 5 day adventure.

We will enjoy a few days in the Mt Hotham region to explore the wonderful alpine flowers that abound there over summertime. The breadth of Brachyscomes of variable hues, carpets of cushion plants, clumps of Craspedias, the possible opulence of Olearias, expanses of Xerochrysums from yellow to orange, multi-coloured trunks of snow gums plus the veritable vistas make this part of the world one that must be visited.

We will be staying at the very comfortable Kalyna Lodge for the 4 four nights, which we will have as sole occupancy.

You will need to bring your own :

  • Food and drinks.
  • BYO linen/sleeping bags and towels

All rooms have new en-suites with doonas, pillows and blankets provided.

For further information on the lodge peruse the website http://www.kalyna.com.au/

We would love to have extra people to enjoy the wonders of Hotham and the stunning surrounds.

$150 per person for 4 nights, twin-share.
Plus $12 for Evening Meal on Thursday 12th January.
This will be a communal BBQ meal prepared by Alex and Wendy Smart.

Please find attached a which needs to be completed and returned to the Booking Officer with payment ASAP. There is the capacity to have groups of 4 people in one room. We need to finalise the booking as soon as possible.
