From Tuesday 7th to Sunday 12th May, Leesa Chandler is organising a very special Botanical Bag Exhibition to be held in the Gallery behind the Visitors’ Centre at Cranbourne Gardens.
The exhibition is free and is open between 10am and 4pm each day.
Featuring works by artists from all around Australia, this exhibition displays more than 200 bags of different shapes, sizes, forms and textiles, brought together through their botanical themes. See displays and demonstrations on how bags are designed and made, and cast your vote for the Viewer’s Choice Winner, who will take home a new sewing machine. Many of the pieces on display
will be for sale and there will also be a Chandler’s Cottage pop-up shop full of textiles and kits focused on bag making.
The Cranbourne Friends Botanical Fabricators will be displaying bags that they have made in the exhibition, and you will meet them at the event.
