It is great news that a free daily shuttle bus will now operate to take people to and from Cranbourne Gardens, from 18 January 2021.
The service will run between Cranbourne Train Station and the Gardens, seamlessly connecting Melbourne’s public transport network to the diverse native plants and landscapes of the site’s award-winning Australian Gardens and Bushland.
The service runs three times a day, seven days a week and offers wheelchair accessibility and a baby seat. Bookings are essential and you must book each way.
Purchase of the bus, to which the Friends contributed $76,000, was a joint project with the RBGV Foundation.
Access to Cranbourne Gardens for visitors without car transport or needing disability-friendly transport has long been a priority for the Friends.
