Speaker: Sandi Steward
Date: Thursday 24th June, at 2pm
The publishing of her book The Nature of my Art was Sandi Steward’s Covid-19 isolation project. Living in the Western Port region, Sandi is drawn to the mangroves and fascinated by them, but also, as an artist, challenged by their ‘green and brown palette’. She has developed an acute appreciation of the fragile ecosystem of the mangrove swamps.
Sandi’s pastel art creatively illustrates the crucial role of mangroves in the Western Port environment.
