Overview of the Australian Garden. What has been happening in the Gardens over the last 18 months?
Find out in this tour of the Australian Garden, now to be held on Tuesday 13th July 2021, at 2.00 pm. This tour replaces the one planned for 22nd June, which had to be postponed.
While we were in lockdown during 2020, the staff of the RBGV Cranbourne Gardens were very busy working on some major projects to improve the gardens for our enjoyment.
These include installation of the fauna fence along the Philip Moors Drive to prevent road kill and the replacing of poorly draining soil in the Ephemeral Garden. Now we are seeing a colourful display from the plants in that garden. Current works include the recycled irrigation project water expected to be completed by the end of 2021 and the sifting and replacement of soil on Howson Hill to combat Armillaria fungus and ensure the health of new plants.
Come and join this Walk and Gawk led by John Arnott, Horticulture Manager at Cranbourne RBGV and learn more about the many projects that have been developed in the last 18 months, those that are being worked on now and some new ones planned for the near future in the Gardens.
