Fungi Workshop with Tom May
Join Tom May, Principal Research Scientist with the RBGV and internationally renowned mycologist for a workshop on Fungi at RBGV, Cranbourne. Tom has a strong interest in citizen science, including through his long involvement with Fungimap. Tom has co-authored a number of books including Wild Mushrooming and Planet Fungi, the latter launched in October 2025, which will be available on the day at a discount.
The workshop will begin at 11:00am in the Auditorium where the focus will be on recording and identifying fungi using iNaturalist, break for lunch at about 12 noon and resume with a fungi walk in the Conservation Zone from 12:30 to 2:30pm. We will then wrap up back in the Auditorium with a chat about the books, to finish at 3.30pm.
This workshop will be capped at 30 participants. Afternoon tea will be provided (BYO lunch).
