Growing Friends Autumn Plant Sale – 14th and 15th March 2026
The Growing Friends Autumn 2026 Plant Sale will be held on Saturday/Sunday 14 and 15 March, 2026 between 10.00 am and 4.00 pm. The Plant Sale will be held at the Royal Botanic Gardens Cranbourne, at the Kiosk at the northern end of the Australian Garden.
Plant lists will be available 2 weeks prior to the sale so check back here for the links. Meanwhile, you can check out the last plant lists below to get an idea of what may be offered:
Come along and select from a range of small and large plants many of which you will find in the Australian Garden.
Choose from grasses, climbers, border plants, groundcovers, small, medium and large bushes and trees, strappy-leafed plants and plants for wildlife.
Please note that there was an increase in prices for GF plants at the beginning of 2025, as costs of regular products like perlite, pots, etc have all increased by about 20% to 25%. Prices are now $6.00 for plants in a 7.5cm diam pot and $12.00 for plants in a 15cm diam pot. Grasses remain the same at $3.00. Others as individually marked.

What other things are happening?
The Botanical Fabricators and Botanical Illustrators will once again share space at the plant sale. Fabricators have a range of items and the Illustrators a rack of cards. Both groups are inspired by our native flora and fauna.
Getting to the Gardens
Entry through Ballarto Road west is from Cranbourne-Frankston Road at the intersection including Pearcedale Road.
If coming from the direction of Cranbourne along the South Gippsland Highway, you can now turn right at the new roundabout which has been completed in the second half of 2025, into Ballarto Road and drive to the Gardens.
